Theory of continental drift – causes of the motion. Outline of the theory

The theory of mantle convection currents as the cause of lithospheric plate movements has several major problems, including the absence of an adequate energy source. As shown in our previous contribution, an unbiased interpretation of geochemical data does not support the assumptions of a significant amount of radionuclides in the lower mantle or even in the core. It is our assertion that solar radiation is the primary energy source in the lithosphere. This energy is converted into mechanical energy via thermoelastic waves, even in depths with minimal temperature fluctuations.

The theory of continental drift was published as early as 1912, but the mechanism and energy source of this motion has not yet been elucidated. In many cases, the generally accepted model of convection currents in the mantle contradicts observations such as the spreading of the ocean floor, the extension of rifts from triple points to all  sides, the more or less unilateral movement of the lithosphere relative to the mantle, and others.

Dynamics of Adsorption of Copper Ions in Fixed-Bed Column and Mathematical Interpretation of the First Stage of the Process

The dynamics of the adsorption process in the fixed-bed column was experimentally studied on the example of the system natural zeolite - water solution of copper salt with low concentrations, which are characteristic for wastewater treatment processes from toxic contaminants. The initial curves of the adsorption process for the height of the sorbent layer of 5 and 7 cm were constructed. The equilibrium of such processes can be described by Henry's linear equation. The adsorption process in the layer consists of two stages, which are examined in the study.

Modification of the Catalytic System for the Industrial Chlorine Processing of Ethylene in 1,2-Dichloroethane

A new mechanism for the reaction of direct (additive) chlorination of ethylene with chlorine from the formation of 1,2-dichloroethane in the presence of FeCl3 catalyst promoted by NaCl has been proposed. It was found that the rate depends on the active phase concentration of the catalyst and the promoter, as well as the formation of the Na[Fe(C2H4Cl)4] complex, which is a surface intermediate of the reaction.

Concept of administrative and legal support and its mechanism

The topicality of the article is due to the need for scientifically substantiated definitions of the concepts of administrative and legal support (hereinafter referred to as ALS) and its mechanism, the formulation of which is its purpose. A systematic approach, methods of analysis and synthesis, expert assessments were used in the process of realization of the article purpose. Mathematical modelling and experimental determination of parameters of the guidance system of weaponry complex

The methodological approaches to the improvement of the control system of the vertical guidance mechanism of FM-21 multiple launch missile system to increasing its speed and positioning accuracy are confirmed. The use of the three-circuit positional structure of the control system of the guidance mechanism with a position control loop and a fuzzy corrector is justified. A mathematical model of the guiding package motion has been obtained and its reaction has been calculated.

Spectrophotometric Determination of Ruthenium Utilizing its Catalytic Activity on Oxidation of Hexacyanoferrate(II) by Periodate Ion in Water Samples

The catalytic effect of ruthenium chloride on the outer sphere electron transfer of hexacyanoferrate(II) by periodate ion in aqueous alkaline medium has been effectively employed to determine ruthenium(III) at micro level. The optimum reaction condition has been established and fixed time procedure is adopted. A linear relationship between changes in absorbance and added Ru(III) concentration has been utilized for the trace level determination of Ru(III).
