ASSESSMENT OF THE ECOLOGICAL STATE OF RURAL SETTLEMENTS BY INDICATORS OF DRINKING WATER QUALITY IN THE CONTEXT OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

The purpose of the study was to assess the state of ecological development of rural rural areas of the amalgamated territorial communities of Zhytomyr district based on drinking water quality indicators of non-centralised water supply sources to ensure their sustainable development. It was found that the average pH value was within the current standard, which indicates an excellent environmental condition for this indicator. The average content of nitrates in drinking water, which in all the studied communities exceeded the standard by 1.4 to 3.5 times, was assessed at only one point.

Photopolymerization of Poly(Hydroxyethyl Acrylate) (PHEA): Experimental Parameters-Viscoelastic Properties Relationship

The activity of the photoinitiator system, based on triethanolamine (TEOA) and methylene blue (MB), on the photopolymerization of hydroxyethyl acrylate (HEA) monomer under very soft irradiation conditions, was evaluated. A remarkable difference in the polymerization kinetics of a set of PHEA experiments was underlined according to TEOA/MB concentrations, as well as the solutions pH.

Preparation of Secondary pH of Phthalate Buffer Solution Using Differential Potentiometric Cell: Method Validation and Application

A secondary pH of phthalate buffer was prepared by differential potentiometry method using a Baucke cell which is separated by sintered glass disk in the middle of cell – so called two-half cells. The method has been validated at 298 K with the purpose to evaluate its suitability for meeting the application requirement. The method validation parameters include accuracy (bias), precision (repeatability), and estimation of measurement uncertainty. It was found that both accuracy and precision of the method were good, which is indicated by their very low standard deviation (SD).

Emulsion oligomerization of С9 fraction of oil refining by-products initiated by potassium persulfate

Hydrocarbon  resins (oligomers) are produced on the basis of fraction C9 of oil refining by-products. The low-temperature emulsion oligomerization can reduce the temperature and duration of the process compared to the existing technologies.
