The aim of the study is to analyze the physical processing properties and morphology of recycled plastics. The scope of work includes conducting the processing of primary PVC and recycled PVC and testing mechanical properties such as: tensile strength, stress, elongation and impact resistance, hardness. The scope of work also includes shrinkage testing of primary compacts and structural investigation of the morphology of materials. The technology for producing the recycled composition is based on the extrusion and compression technology of the compositions obtained.
In the food industry and public catering establishments of Ukraine, a sufficiently large amount of oil is left, which was first used during the roasting and cooking of various food, such as vegetables and fish during canning, french fries, pancakes, pies and the like. At high temperatures during contact with the food and moisture contained in it, the processes of thermal decomposition, oxidation, polymerization and so on, the oil accumulates harmful to man substances such as aldehydes, acids, ketenes, polycyclic compounds, etc. In this case, the oil becomes unsuitable for further food use.
PVC/wood flour composites were prepared by compression molding using sapwood and heartwood from Angelin Pedra as filler. The composites specimens were subjected to water immersion and impact tests. The results showed that the water absorption of all composites increased slightly with increasing immersion time and wood content. However, the values were considerably low compared with control sample, common solid woods and wood plastic composites reported in literature.
