Spatio-temporal analysis of surface water extraction methods reliability using COPERNICUS satellite data

The aim of this research is the comparison and subsequent evaluation of the suitability of using SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) and multispectral (MSI) satellite data of the Copernicus program for mapping and accurate identification of surface water bodies. The paper considers sudden changes caused by significant climatological-meteorological influences in the country. The surface guidance extraction methodology includes the standard preprocessing of SAR images and concluding the determination of threshold values in binary mask generation.

ECOLOGICAL STATE OF THE RIVERS IN THE ZHOVKVA DISTRICT OF THE LVIV REGION

Observation of the surface water state is carried out to determine its quality (contaminant content) based on the results of analytical control. The analysis of surface water was made according to the polluting sources of the object. It resulted in the proposed management decisions on directions and measures to improve the state of surface water.

ASSESSMENT OF THE QUALITY AND THE LEVEL OF THE TECHNOGENIC LOAD ON THE SURFACE WATERS OF THE KHERSON REGION

The paper deals with the assessment of a surface water quality in the Kherson region, as well as the assessment of a technogenic load on the surface water bodies by the volumes of the wastewater and pollutants discharges over a long period of time. The problem of supplying the regions of Ukraine with water is urgent for many regions, including the Kherson region. The materials from the Regional reports, Ecological passports on monitoring a state the surface water as well as the data on the volumes of the sewage and pollutants discharges were used as baseline data.

RESEARCH OF INTERRELATIONS BETWEEN METEOFACTORS AND WATER LEVEL FLUCTUATION IN LAKE SVITIAZ

The interrelations between the air temperature and humidity, the amount of precipitation and the water level fluctuations have been investigated based on long-term observations at the permanent water gauge of Lake Svitiaz. The average values of the correlation coefficients between the meteorological factors and the water level for the period of 1985-2019 are calculated.

ESTIMATION OF TECHNOGENIC LOAD ON THE SURFACE WATER OF THE NORTH-WESTERN BLACK SEA COAST REGION

The paper considers the main sources of anthropogenic pollution of the surface waters of the North-Western Black Sea Coast regions. The level of anthropogenic loading on the surface water by the volumes of sewage and pollutant discharges into the water objects is estimated.
