The effects of infill patterns on the mechanical properties of 3D printed PLA parts fabricated by FDM

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of the infill pattern on the mechanical properties of 3D printed PLA parts. Polylactic acid (PLA) parts were fabricated by fused deposition modeling (FDM) at various infill patterns at 30% infill density. Five different infill patterns (stars, 3D honeycomb, honeycomb, gyroid, Hilbert curve) have been investigated.

REGULARITIES OF THE TECHNOLOGICAL RAW MATERIAL CREATION FOR EXTRUSION OF POLYETHYLENE PIPES

The growing pace of Ukrainian polymer pipes market is significantly ahead of other markets for polymer products, which is being explained by the successful competition of their operational properties with pipes made of traditional materials - steel, cast iron, concrete.

Regarding this an important task during the production of water pressure pipes is the obtaining of technological raw materials based on polyethylene with the necessary technological capacity, which will solve the above problems.

Characterization of a Pearlescent Biaxially Oriented Multilayer Polypropylene Film

The morphology, composition, optical, thermal and mechanical properties of a commercial pearlescent and multilayer biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) films were determined. The structure and orientation of BOPP films were confirmed by FTIR spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction and EDX analysis. The films surface roughness was determined by AFM method. The tensile strength of the films was determined in machine and transverse directions.
