In the present paper the phonostatistical characteristics of labial phoneme group have been determined by a mathematical statistical method on the material of texts from English functional styles (belles-lettres, colloquial, newspaper, scientific). Essential and unessential differences among the texts compared for the given group of phonemes have been established in the statistical analogue of the phonological subsystem of the researched style system. The models proposed represent style-differentiating capability of labial phoneme group for three cases of the position of a phoneme in a word.
