Effect of Tween 80 on the Stability and Conformation of Telomeric G-Quadruplex DNA

G-quadruplex DNA is formed in telomer. It inhibits telomerase enzyme which is found active in more than 85 % of cancer cells. In this work, the effect of Tween 80 on telomeric G-quadruplex DNA, AGGG(TTAGGG)3 was studied using circular dichroism spectroscopic technique. The obtained results showed that using Tween 80 with telomeric quadruplex is safe up to less than 1.0 %.

Monomolecular Films of Organic Diacyl Diperoxides on the Interface of the Phases Water–Air

Monomolecular films of diacyl diperoxides at the water–air phase interface have been studied. Their behaviour is influenced by the structure of the molecule and the solvent. The numerical values of the areas of molecules that are extrapolated to zero pressure are different, which indicates a different conformation of the molecules in the monolayer. The conformational states of diperoxides were calculated by quantum chemical methods. Experimental data and quantum chemical calculations are consistent with each other.

Some Approaches to Viscometric Study of Chitosan in Acetic Acid Solution

Some ways of estimating the values of the intrinsic viscosity of chitosan were analyzed. It was shown that the method of Irzhak and Baranov for estimating the current value of the intrinsic viscosity allows to adequately estimates the conformational state of the macromolecular coil and its degree of swelling.
