Geoinformation approach and perspective on updating the planning and cartographic materials using aerial and spacephotos

Method for cartographical materials updating on the base of heterogeneous information with use of GIS-technologies is presented in the paper. Experimental geoinformation projects were created for researching technology of updating of largescale plans and maps. As main method for cartographical materials updating it is proposed correction of their contents on the base of materials of aerial and space images.

Study of dynamic processes of mining and industrial objects using methods of geoinformatic modelling

Purpose. The problem of application of thematic mapping in areas with man-made threats to which Dombrovski quarry in Kalush of Ivano-Frankivsk region relates is actual. Any way to eliminate these threats requires precise calculations of the work volume, prediction of changes that may take place on the terrain after introduction of a method for preventing disasters. Such calculations and predictions should be based on actual data about the territory which can be modeled by modern means of GIS technologies.

Mapping of avalanche dangerous territories using GIS technologies

Purpose. Avalanching is a natural phenomenon that can cause loss of life, destructions of residential and industrial buildings, inflict losses on forestry, agriculture and tourism development in mountainous areas. Monitoring and research of potential avalanche dangerous territories is an urgent task. Geoinformation modeling plays leading role for its solving. The purpose of this paper is to create raster thematic maps of avalanching hazards on the base of analysis of certain morphometric and environmental factors of avalanching in the territory of the mountain ridge Polonyna Borzhava.

Cartographic providing of the administration of land resources

Purpose. Administration of land resources is an important component of the land state policy. In its turn, making informed decisions regarding the objective usage of the land resources, their protection and reproduction requires reliable and objective information in its various aspects, including the cartographical one, presented at the time of the adoption or making administrative decisions.
