Geodynamic and geophysical effects in the physical models of interactions between the Earth’s structural shells

Perspectives of the creating of the new physical models concerning the structure of the Earth, their evolution and methodology of the structure classification and parameter measuring of the Earth’s physical fields are analyzed. It is pointed out that investigation of the deep structure, composition and geodynamics of the continental and oceanic lithosphere gives the possibility to distinguish the system connected with global processes of Earth’s development (rifts, uncompensated deeps, continents, oceans).

Geodynamics, tectonics and seismicity of Carpathian region of Ukraine

Purpose. The purpose of researches – to analyze the characteristics of modern geodynamics, tectonics and seismicity of Carpathian region of Ukraine and its components – the Folded Carpathians, Transcarpathians and Precarpathians. Methodology. The methodology includes a detailed complex analysis of the deep structure and seismotectonic activity in the region and its separate zones on the basis of specially developed methods of refinement the coordinates and depth of local earthquakes sources and complex of geological and geophysical data. Results.

Dynamics of postseismic tectonic deformations

Aim. The purpose of researches – continuous monitoring observations of geophysical fields, determined by the need of fundamental and applied geophysics and geology for reliable and detailed regional data on the behavior in time and space components of geophysical fields generic modern dynamics of the earth's crust, especially in seismically active regions. Such data are also needed to evaluate the durability and reliability of critical and dangerous geological and geotechnical hazards.

Geophysical insights on the structure and geodynamic evolution of the se Carpathians and related foreland in the context of the Black Sea opening

The paper brings into discussion geophysical evidence for jointly explaining the unusual craton seismicity in front of the SE Carpathians and the upper mantle intermediate-depth earthquakes in the Vrancea zone within the frame of the geodynamic environment generated by the W Black Sea opening and further evolution of the lithosphere expelled towards NW by rifting.

Ukrainian Carpathians in the structure of pancardi (magmatism and geodynamics)

Purpose of investigations – to ascertain the position of Ukrainian part of the Carpathian geosyncline in the common structure of the Pannonian-Carpathian-Dinarides region (Pancardi) at different stages of the development. Methodology. Integrated analysis of the peculiarities of different-age magmatism together with other geological-geophysical material and reconstruction of the structure and geodynamics of both the whole Pancardi and the Ukrainian Carpathian in particular at different stages of alpine development. Findings.

Study of atmospheric infrasound on regime geophysical station “Beregove” in Transcarpathians

In the article the first results of study of atmospheric infrasound on regime geophysical station “Beregove” in Transcarpathians are presented. The peculiarities of researches methods and apparatus are described. Received data are given and briefly analyzed and directions for further researches are specified.

The role of magmatism in paleogeodynamic reconstructions

Significance of magmatism as a marker of geodynamic processes of the past geological epochs is considered. A scheme of phased studies of magmatic rocks is given as well as their generalization and connection to tectonic structures. On the basis of formation analysis and mineral-geochemical indicators of the Cainozoic volcanites it is proved that geological development of the Ukrainian Carpathians during Cainozoic go on a collision geodynamic regime type.

“Geodynamics” and early Precambrian geology of the shields of ancient platforms

The term “geodynamics” in the context of the tectonics of lithospheric plates, as well as the concept of neo-mobilism as a whole, cannot be used for the study of the formative conditions of the early Precambrian basement of the shields of ancients platforms. Other known definitions need to be used with respect to Early Precambrian. To reasoning that the paper demonstrates the major structural-material specifics of shields which confirm that they were formed in geodynamic conditions other that neogey, during an interval over 4000 to 1900–1600 million years ago.

Research of features of annual vertical movement of the crust based on the observations of permanent GNSS-Europe stations

Based on the continuous series of observations we determined the changes of absolute and regional velocity of vertical crustal movements, their spatial distribution and relationship with the tectonic structure of the region. The accumulated research results indicate the necessity for systematic studies of the impact of various geophysical factors on the stability and permanent displacement of plants and their relation to seismic activity.
