In 1983 he graduated from the Lvov Polytechnic Institute and received a degree in electrical engineering with a specialty in Automation and Tele- mechanics. In 1998, he successfully defended his thesis “Exact methods for predicting the execution time of complex software systems on parallel computers” at the Specialized Council of the Institute of Control Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Direction of work is the use of parallel computing systems to solve complex problems.
