3D model and numerical algorithm for gas filtration in porous media

The article presents a three-dimensional mathematical model of the gas filtration process in porous media and a numerical algorithm for solving the initial-boundary value problem.  The developed model is described using the nonlinear differential equation in partial derivatives with the appropriate initial and boundary conditions.  The proposed mathematical apparatus makes it possible to carry out hydrodynamic calculations taking into account changes in the main factors affecting the process under consideration: permeability, porosity, and thickness of layers, gas recovery coefficient, visc

EFFICIENCY OF APPLICATION OF THE MICROBIOLOGICAL METHOD OF WASTE WATER TREATMENT TO REMOVE HEXAMETHYLENDIAMINE

Wastewater contaminated with hexamethylenediamine (HMD), which is discharged into natural reservoirs, causes damage and loss of hydrobionts, worsens the quality of water which becomes unsuitable for use. For wastewater treatment from HMD, the possibility of applying bacterial cultures-destructors which use the HMD as a nutrition source is considered.

Statement and solution of non-stationary problem of liquid filtering in a deformed porous medium

The paper discusses the laws behind the filtering procedures of process liquids through porous materials. At metalwork finishing operations, the use of cutting fluids is of particular importance. During operation, liquids are continuously and intensively contaminated with solid metal parts. To restore the original properties, process fluids are cleaned of mechanical admixtures. The most widely used methods for purifying process liquids are those by filtration.

Study on the Application of Starch Derivatives as the Regulators of Potassium Drilling Fluids Filtration

Derivatives of starch, such as graft copolymer of acrylamide onto starch, carbamoylethylated starch, carbamoylethyl-dihydroxypropylated starch, and dihydroxypropylated starch have been tested for their properties as components of drilling fluids used for clay inhibition and for the regulation of their rheology. The influence of modified starch and their blends with tylose as protective agents in the filtration of drilling fluids, as well as replacement of tylose, by modified starch were investigated.
