OVER-STABILIZED BITUMEN EMULSIONS MADE FROM EMULSIFIERS FOR SLOW-SETTING EMULSIONS

Formulations of road over-stabilized cationic bitumen emulsions with orthophosphoric, sulfuric and hydrochloric acids and cationic emulsifiers for slowly disintegrating emulsions have been designed. The physical and mechanical properties of the manufactured over-stabilized bitumen emulsions and their breaking behavior were determined. It has been established that over-stabilised bitumen emulsions demonstrate good storage stability for 180 days.

Кінетична модель процесу поліконденсації концен-трованих фенолів кам’яновугільної смоли з формальдегідом

Одержано фенолоформальдегідні смоли методом поліконденсації концентрованих фенолів з формальдегідом у присутності хлоридної кислоти. Концентрування фенолів проводили обробленням фенольної фракції кам’яновугільної смоли водним розчином гідроксиду натрію з наступною нейтралізацією водорозчинних фенолятів хлоридною кислотою. Отримано кінетичні залежності виходу смоли та температури розм’якшення від триволості процесу за 333, 353 та 373 К. Визначено порядок реакції та встановлено ефективну енергію активації даного процесу графічним методом.

ADHESION OF ROAD BITUMEN EMULSIONS ON BOTH HYDROCHLORIC AND ORTHOPHOSPHORIC ACIDS FOR THE TECHNOLOGY OF SURFACE DRESSING

This article presents the review of surface dressing wear courses, being the version of preservation and sealing of road structures' top layers. In the article, there is studied the adhesion of aggregates (from various granite quarries of Ukraine) with a bitumen binder, namely bitumen emulsion, for application in surface dressing for road pavements. In the article, there are used both the Ukrainian and European testing methods for the determination of adhesion in the bitumen-aggregate system.

ADHESION OF BITUMINOUS BINDERS WITH AGGREGATES IN THE CONTEXT OF SURFACE DRESSING TECHNOLOGY FOR ROAD PAVEMENTS TREATMENT

In this article the study is done for the adhesion of aggregates coming from various granite quarries of Ukraine with bituminous binder, namely with bitumen emulsion – for application in surface dressing technology for road pavements treatment. In the article there are used the Ukrainian and European testing methods for determination of adhesion in the “bitumen – aggregate” system. According to the Ukrainian method, there was determined the adhesion of residual binder with the chips surface after boiling in the distilled water and in the solution of glycerin and distilled water.

ОRTO-PHOSPHORIC ACID AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO HYDROCHLORIC ACID – FOR CATIONIC BITUMEN ROAD EMULSIONS. REVIEW

In this article the cationic bitumen emulsions are characterized – as popular binder for various road emulsions. There are considered the specific features of cationic bitumen road emulsions’ formulations. There are presented the functions and specificities of the acids application in cationic bitumen road emulsions. The literary review is presented on potentialities of ortho-phosphoric acids application instead of the traditional hydrochloric acid.

Визначення швидкості набору когезійної міцності литої емульсійно-мінеральної суміші на ортофосфорній кислоті

In the present scientific work there is done the comparative analysis of two cast emulsion-mineral mixes (CEMM) – systems on orthophosphoric and hydrochloric acids. It was determined that application of orthophosphoric acid for preparation of bitumen emulsion on oxidized bitumen leads to the substantial improvement of cohesion strength build-up rate – in comparison with identical system on hydrochloric acid.
