Definition of Fill Level of Ball Mill Based on Vibration Acceleration Signal

The paper is devoted to the study of the relationship between the vibration accelerometer signal and the fill level of a ball mill. It was established that there is a direct correlation between the vibration level of the front support of the mill drum and the amount of material being ground in the mill. A low vibration level corresponds to a high fill level of the mill. Two methods of processing the vibration accelerometer signal to obtain a fill level signal using a moving window are proposed.

Activation of polyethylene granules by finely dispersed zinc

The results of experimental researches of features of mechanical activation of polyethylene granules with finely dispersed zinc in a ball mill, and also results of research of chemical copper plating of activated polyethylene granules are given. The influence of the ratio of polyethylene granules and fine zinc, the speed of rotation of the ball mill and the duration of activation, as well as the degree of loading of the components in the activation process of polyethylene granules was studied.

The work of the control system of ball mill electric drive during the start-up process is analyzed using computer simulation. The developed computer model uses the variable nonlinear model of the mechanical load and the variable moment of inertia. The results of the conducted researches can be used at development of new systems of electric drives.

Method for determining mill balls metal deterioration rate in a ball mill KBM 370/850 (Sh-50А) of dust-system of coal-dust boilers TPP-210А and TPP-312 300МW of thermal power plants is described in the paper. The research is aimed at the development of the determination method of the mill balls deterioration rate in a ball mill, which would allow predicting the regulated refill of the ball mill by the mill balls.
