The article describes the importance of applying the information technological tools for the effective activity of archive of higher education institution. Organizational and administrative documents make a significant part of the archives of higher education institution. Organizational and administrative documents can be of the following types: an order, resolution, decision and instruction. These documents establish and regulate the structure, tasks, functions, duties, rights and responsibilities of all the management board members. All the documents come to archive in paper form.
