Formation of the Printing Trade Union Movement in Galicia and Its Representation in the Trade Union Press

The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the emergence and development of the printers’ trade­union movement in Galicia during the second half of the nineteenth century, placing it within the broader socio­economic and political transformations of the Habsburg Empire. The study traces how administrative reforms, modernization processes, urban growth, and the spread of elementary education contributed to the rise of a socially aware and professionally organized printing workforce.
