Embedded Systems Multimedia Framework for Microcontroller Devices

The presented  paper attempts to establish a generalized approach to the development of embedded systems multimedia applications. It is formalized in the form of a framework that defines rules and recommenda- tions for a developer on how to implement specific pieces of software that work with multimedia data. The basis for the development process is the division of the system’s func- tionality into stages with the following development of each stage. The framework also defines how touch sensor events may be elaborated.

Formal model of knowledge processing in situational awareness systems

In the article are described models and methods of formalizing and modeling process of decision making in systems with situation awareness (SAW systems). The definitions of mathematical formalization of situation are discussed. Also, the unifying algebraic model, allowing the usage of different tools for situation awareness modeling, based of Algebra of Systems was proposed. We analyze the term of description logic and its advantages and disadvantages. The mappings between algebraic model, description logic and interpreted systems are proposed.

Methods of Knowledge Representation and Processing in Systems With Situational Awareness

In the article, the methods of representation and processing of knowledge in systems with situational awareness are described. The definitions of concepts and mathematical formalization of situation and situational awareness are discussed. Also, the process of getting situational awareness using ontologies is analyzed. We describe the core ontologies and ontological frameworks for modeling systems with situational awareness.
