STATISTICAL ASSESSMENT OF THE DYNAMICS OF CHANGES IN THE PM10 AND PM2.5 LEVEL IN THE AIR OF URBANIZED AREAS

This article addresses the issue of atmospheric pollution caused by solid particles in urban environments. The presence of PM10 and PM2,5 particles in the air of major cities and industrial areas worldwide has been examined. An evaluation of atmospheric pollution levels with PM10 and PM2,5 particles in Kostopil, considering current air quality standards in Ukraine and the European Union, has been conducted. The authors employed the gravimetric method to measure the levels of suspended dust particles (PM10 and PM2,5) in Kostopil from autumn 2022 to winter 2023.

RUSSIAN ARMED AGGRESSION AGAINST UKRAINE – THE IMPACT ON THE ENVIRONMENT OF THE TEMPORARILY OCCUPIED TERRITORIES

The armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, which has been going on since 2014, caused severe consequences for our state. Besides killing and injuring dozens of thousands of Ukrainian citizens, expelling hundreds of thousands of people from their homes, seizing and destroying infrastructure, Russia has inflicted large-scale environmental damage in the occupied territories. Thus, as a result of the occupation of Crimea, the situation with fresh water on the peninsula is rapidly deteriorating, which can significantly change the ecosystem in the future.

STUDYING AN AIR VENTILATION AND POLLUTION IN AN ATMOSPHERE OF INDUSTRIAL CITY: ELEMENTS OF NEW MODELING APPROACH AND GREEN-CITY TECHNOLOGY

We develop the elements of a new generalized approach to natural air ventilation of the industrial city. It is based on the Arakawa-Shubert and Glushkov models which allow to give a quantitative reliable modelling an unsteady turbulence in the urban area and atmospheric ventilation dynamics. To calculate the air circulation for the cloud layer arrays, penetrating into the territory of the urban area, we apply the methods of a plane complex field theory. The method allows to calculate the convection parameters and shifting cumulus cloud ensemble from surrounung regions.

MATHEMATICAL MODELING OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL RADIOACTIVE POLLUTION DURING OIL AND GAS WELLS DRILLING

The aim of paper was development of an adequate mathematical model for predicting the level of environmental pollution by radionuclides emitted as a result of oil wells drilling. This problem was solved using Gaussian Plume Model which allowed to determine the concentration of radionuclides at a given point in space. Impurity flux density in Bq/(m2 s) was been simulated.
