Tectonomagnetic investigations in the Western Antarctic
The results of tectonomagnetic investigations in the region of Antarctic station Academic Vernadsky location are presented. For the period from 1998 up to 2002 at the tectonomagnetic profile Barchany-Rasmussen 3 cycles of repeat magnetic observations were carried out, that enabled to investigate the dynamics of a magnetic field in the region of archipelago Argentine islands. Anomalous monotonous ∆F field variations above -3.5 nT in the zone of tectonic lineament of submeridian strike were detected.
