callus biomass

Obtaining biomass of echinacea purpurea in vitro

This work investigated the possibility of introducing Echinacea purpurea into in vitro culture in order to obtain callus biomass. The method of seed sterilization and seedling cultivation on Murashige-Skoog medium was described. The effect of various combinations of growth regulators (IAA, BAP, NAA, 2,4-D) on callus formation from leaf, stem and root explants was experimentally determined. It was found that the formation of callus biomass occurs better on a medium with the addition of growth regulators IAA and BAP in a ratio of 2:1 mg/l than NAA, 2,4-D in a ratio of 1:1 mg/l.

OBTAINING AND INVASTIGATION EXTRACTS OF CALLUS BIOMASS OF САLENDULA OFFICINALIS

Modern biotechnological methods for plant biomass production have relevance, since the use of medicinal plants is connected with a limited resource potential of many valuable species, with germination in polluted environment, using plants that are on the limit of destruction or listed in the Red Book.

OPTIMIZATION OF THE PROCESS OF EXTRACTION OF FLAVONOIDS FROM CALLUS BIOMASS OF ARNICA MONTANA

Medicinal plants contain many biologically active substances (BAS), which have a diverse influence on the human body and animals, so used for the prevention and treatment of diseases in medical, folk and veterinary practices. The current state of the environment in Ukraine does not allow the use of most plants as medicinal raw materials, so obtaining plants biomass in vitro is an alternative method. Advantages of the method can get a large amount of biomass, regardless of the season, environmental conditions and other factors.
