PRODUCTION OF BIOELECTRICITY FOR THE AQUEOUS EXTRACTS OF SOME PLANTS

Annual climate conferences draw public attention to the urgent need to ecologize CO2-neutral fuel systems and recognize that global temperature increases must be limited to less than 2 °C to avoid dangerous climate change. Based on the projections of the International Panel on Climate Change, it is now widely accepted that in order to stay within this temperature range, CO2 emissions need to be reduced by 80% by 2050.

Аntibacterial activity of hydrogel materials based on copolymers polyvinylpirrolidon with extracts of Сalendula officinalis and Аrnica Montana

The possibility of using hydrogels, that are based on copolymers of polyvinylpyrrolidone with 2-hydroxyethylmethacrylate for saturation them with extracts of plants, was researched. Hydrogel materials with extracts of Calendula officinal is and Arnica montana were obtained. The sorption capacity of the hydrogels in relation to these extracts and the content of flavonoids in the extracts were determined  by using Ulab108UV.

Determination of the Chemical Composition of the Extract of Apricot Pomace (Prunus armeniaca L.)

The objective of this study was to investigate a comprehensive characterization of composition profiles of the apricot pomace extract (Prunus armeniaca L) depending on the used solvent systems. The propan-2-ol, decamethylcyclopentasiloxane and the mixture of the apricot pomace extracts are characterized by IR, UV-visible spectroscopy and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GС-MS) techniques.

Application of Liquid Extraction for Treatment of Wastewater from Edible Oils Production

The structure of an emulsion formed in wastewater from edible oils production has been investigated. The type of emulsifier has been determined and the method of emulsion destruction has been proposed, providing further quality treatment of wastewater via liquid-extraction method. The resulting equilibrium and operating lines of the process were received. The number of transfer stages has been determined. The mathematical model of liquid-extraction wastewater treatment was built.

OPTIMIZATION OF THE PROCESS OF EXTRACTION OF FLAVONOIDS FROM CALLUS BIOMASS OF ARNICA MONTANA

Medicinal plants contain many biologically active substances (BAS), which have a diverse influence on the human body and animals, so used for the prevention and treatment of diseases in medical, folk and veterinary practices. The current state of the environment in Ukraine does not allow the use of most plants as medicinal raw materials, so obtaining plants biomass in vitro is an alternative method. Advantages of the method can get a large amount of biomass, regardless of the season, environmental conditions and other factors.
