THERMAL INSULATION MATERIALS BASED ON FLAX STRAW

The development of plant-based materials will help to solve the problems associated with the use of agricultural waste, and at the same time to get inexpensive and effective insulation materials based on environmentally friendly local raw materials. The advantages of such materials are availability, fast recovery, low cost, environmental friendliness and low thermal conductivity.

Energy analysis of the production line for canned carrot production

An energy-saving scheme for the production of candied carrots has been developed. The developed scheme includes: washing of raw materials with 1% NaHCO3 solution, reduction of water consumption for blanching, reduction of syrup consumption for saturation of raw materials with sugar. A new drying technology is introduced: candied fruits are dried in a variable temperature mode, namely: in the initial stages with a heat agent at a temperature of 70 0C, at the final stage - with a heat agent at a temperature of 20 0C.

PROSPECTIVE TRENDS OF MULTIFLAT HOUSING IN 2021-2035

The article presents an analytical review of promising trends in apartment housing for the next 15 years. In particular, the following trends have been identified: increasing the role of energy efficiency, reducing housing stories, increasing dwelling diversity, increasing the role of environmental and ethical factors in diversifying housing management, modernization, cooperative building retrieval, appearance housing policy.

THE INTRODUCTION OF ENERGY-EFFICIENT TECHNOLOGIES IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE IN UKRAINE

The article identifies the main conditions and problems of introducing energy-efficient technologies for business in Ukraine and considers the design experience of building green commercial buildings that have been erected in recent years (innovative parks UNIT.City in Kiev and LvivTech.City in Lviv, on the Sobachie mouth peninsula, Astarta Business Center in Kiev, etc.) It has been established that the main problem of introducing energy-efficient technologies in public commercial projects is the insufficient participation of the state in financing and stimulating business.

Energy Audit for Complex Energy System Simulated Using TRNSYS Software

Energy audit provides a way to derive energy potential and to develop energy saving program in order to improve energy efficiency during early stage design decision process for new-developed systems that can reduce costs for project owner and for customer. This paper presents utilization of complex energy system (solar assisted heat pump) for heating and cooling purposes. Simulation has been carried out using TRNSYS 18 software for a complex energy system located in northern latitude. The results of such system configurations are presented in the paper.

Theoretical basis of energy efficiency criterion-based optimal control of arc steel-melting furnace modes taking into account 3-dimensional phase current distribution

The purpose of the article is to develop a method for synthesis of the operative adaptive optimal control of the electric mode (EM) of an arc steel-melting furnace (ASF) by energy efficiency criteria based on three-dimensional (3-D) distribution of arc currents. The basis of the created method is the use of operative information on the parameters of 3-D distribution of arc currents and the search for the appropriate optimal control – set points for arc currents of a double-loop system of controlling the electric mode of an arc steel-melting furnace.

Development of strategies for reducing traction energy consumption by electric rolling stock

The paper considers a method of increasing the energy efficiency of the traction power consumption during operation of a non-autonomous electric rolling stock equipped with an onboard energy storage. The idea is to use the onboard energy storage of the electric braking as an additional power source for the traction electric drive in the process of vehicle acceleration and to coordinate its work with the power supply system.

Macromodeling of electrical grids with renewable energy sources for assessing their energy efficiency

In the article it is proposed to use macro-modeling of electrical grids for assessing the quality of their operation in the form of an integrated readiness characteristic of electrical grids with RES. It has been done on the basis of the analysis of the problems of providing high-quality electrical supply under conditions of the intensive development of renewable energy sources (RES) and characteristics of electrical grids determined by means of qualimetry that are essential for providing high-quality electricity.

OPTIMIZATION OF PARAMETERS OF WINDOW STRUCTURES

The influence of structural and thermal parameters of window structures on energy consumption in a house of a residential type is analyzed in this article from the standpoint of providing the required level of natural lighting and minimizing of transmission losses. It was shown, that modern buildings are characterized by a much larger proportion of the area of window structures, which requires a special analysis of the effect of translucent enclosures on the energy performance of buildings.
