Determination of Critical Values of Parameters for Practical Application of Express Method of Diagnosing the Technical State of Shipboard Diesel Engines
This paper substantiates the feasibility and advisability of developing a new express method of diagnosing the state of diesel engines of combat boats based on the analysis of readings through on-board instruments of the information system for controlling and monitoring the boat’s powerplant. This express method will enable combat boats’ (ships’) crews to employ the predictive maintenance of shipboard mechanisms to promptly identify degradation processes during their operation and minimize the risk of unexpected failures (breakdowns) while performing the combat missions.
