The article considers macro-, medio- and microstructure of “The Dictionary and Reference Book of the Old and Dialect Names of Dishes, Foodstuffs as well as Kitchen Utensils in Different Ukrainian Regions” compiled by H. Vivat. It focuses on the material that was first published due to the author’s field research and describes the phenomena of term synonymy, homonymy, polysemy, paronymy. It also conducts the etymological study of certain units and emphasises innovation of the illustration area in the interpretation part of the dictionary entry.
