The Model of a Historical Master Narrative for a Contemporary Political Nation
Based on a comprehensive review of the main models of historical master narratives (national, class, and religious), the author proposes a master narrative of cultural convergence that is more inclusive and focuses on the successful interaction of different ethno-cultural, gender, and religious groups within a modern political nation. The article argues that the current stage of development of democratic countries necessitates a thorough revision of the fundamental model of the national historical master narrative, as we face a paradoxical and potentially dangerous situation.
