Heterogenization of catalysts offers numerous advantages over homogeneous systems, including enhanced stability, reusability, and fine-tuning of properties. This approach is particularly relevant for developing environmentally friendly and sustainable catalytic processes. Microgels, with their unique properties, emerge as promising platforms for catalyst heterogenization. These crosslinked polymer networks exhibit tunable size, porosity, and responsiveness to external stimuli, making them ideal for encapsulating and stabilizing catalytic species.
