Based on the results of the SWOT-analysis, the prospects and strategy for the development of a homeopathic medicinal product based on ipecacuanha are substantiated. It was found that there is only one domestic complex drug on the pharmaceutical market. It is shown that reduction of the cost and improvement of the quality of the starting material is possible with the use of biotechnological methods.
