Personality Prediction from Social Networks: a Review of Works

Today, the potential of social networks for all types of communication is difficult to overestimate. For business communication in virtual communities, it is important to take into account the socio-psychological features of the participants in the communication process. This actualized various aspects of network identity, virtual personality behavior, and online persona. This study offers a review of the scientific literature on personality prediction based on the analysis of different content generated in social networks.

Petro Poroshenko is one of the most popular Twitter-bloggers in Ukraine with 1,1 million followers. Thus, he actively exploited Twitter, as well as more wide spread in the country social networks as Facebook and Instagram. Dealing with Twitter and other social networks studies, scholars claim that political communication nowadays has been becoming more personalized, emotional and populist. All these considerations were made on the accounts of Western European leaders. Thus, Petro Poroshenko’s Twitter posts analysis will be useful to expand the discoveries about political communication.

Twitter-diplomacy: Ukrainian context (Research Article)

In the article the involvement of Ukrainian politicians and diplomats to Twitter social network and it is compared the advantages and disadvantages of using this social network within the framework of their professional activity is analyzed.  As the usage of social networks in electronic diplomacy in Ukraine is being developed, it is asserted the nessesity of complex investigation of foreign experience which can be useful for Ukrainian diplomats and will help them to use Twitter successfully, as a tool for diplomatic activity.
