The main geostructural and geodynamic elements of the Ukrainian shield as reflected on geological maps (an analytical review)
Geological maps issued for the area of the Ukrainian Shield after 1982 are analyzed in connection with the preparation of a new tectonic map of Ukraine. The evaluation is made for different approaches dealing with delineation and presentation of diverse tectonic elements - namely geological and structural-tectonic regionalization, structural levels, etc. The conclusion is that to date these elements are not sufficiently reflected on maps and in other publications.
