Spatial Modelling of Agricultural Land Abandonment Probability in a Foothill Hromada Using Sentinel-2 Satellite Data

Objective. The aim of this study is to identify potentially abandoned agricultural lands within the Vyhoda territorial community of Ivano-Frankivsk region through multi-criteria analysis based on Sentinel-2 satellite imagery, vegetation indices, and topographic and infrastructural parameters. Methodology. An  adapted multi-criteria spatial modeling approach was proposed to detect potentially abandoned agricultural lands. The study employed multispectral Sentinel-2 satellite images acquired in August 2024.

Analysis of Google Earth Engine Application for Detecting Agricultural Landscape Changes Using Sentinel-2 Data

Objective. The aim of the study was to test the technology for detecting changes in agricultural landscapes using Sentinel-2 satellite imagery and Google Earth Engine (GEE) tools on the example of the Zhovkva Territorial Community in Lviv region. The main objective was to identify land cover changes over the period 2017–2024 and determine their scale and trends. The study was conducted considering the need for land use monitoring and land cover dynamics, which are important for sustainable rural development. Methods.

Monitoring of coniferous forest drying in Precarpathian region using remote sensing data

Purpose. The aim of this research is monitoring of coniferous forests of Tukhlya forestry in Precarpathian region using medium and high resolution satellite images and images obtained from an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). Methodology. To monitor the condition of forests of Tukhlya Forestry, a technique based on using satellite images with different spectral characteristics and resolutions, images obtained from UAVs and, accordingly, their processing by different methods, was used.
