THE DICHOTOMY OF THE‘ MANIPULATIVE VERSUS COUNTER-MANIPULATIVE IMPACT’: DOES IT EXIST IN THE ENGLISH- WRITTEN MASS MEDIA TEXTS ON CLIMATE CHANGE?

Problem .For all the undisputable good that mass media have afforded the society, they are as well known to be exploiting on a high scale the means of manipulation which results in the public being deceived or told half-truth, information distorted, an individual recipient misled. Elucidating the means and markers of manipulation in a media text constitutes a formidable problem of media linguistics. It cannot be otherwise because it is the nature of manipulation to hide the means of its impact.

Correlation of accuracy of angular and linear measurements in combined constructions of triangulation, trilateration and polygonometry

When designing any planned geodetic reference network, it is not enough to ensure only its compliance with the main technical requirements for the density of location of points, errors in their mutual position, the accuracy of determining the weakest points and the accuracy of determining coordinates relative to the nearest starting points. Conditions are also necessary for maximum adaptation of the network to the terrain, minimum economic costs, organizational comforts of the work and its implementation at certain times.

The influence of the correlation dependence of the measured angles on the results of the adjustment of the triangulation

It is known that adjacent, having a common direction, measured angles in the triangulation are statistically dependent values [2, 3]. The correlation coefficient between such angles is minus 0.5. When this equation is adjusted, this dependence is neglected, assuming all the measured angles to be statistically independent, which distorts the adjustment results.

Mobile Information Technologies of Navigation of a User in Complex Indoor Environment

The article depicts the indoors positioning technology and user mobile positioning devices. It describes the possibilities of computer technology of indoors positioning of the device when navigating the user through the territory of tourist sites, which are castles, museums, galleries and architectural monuments. Popular positioning technology, which is a GPS (Global Positioning System) is not fully operating in indoor environment and buildings.
