Processing of Oily Waste. 1. Low-Temperature Pyrolysis of the Organic Part of Oil Sludge

The article presents the results of studies on the composition and properties of the organic part of oil sludge formed during oil production in the fields of western Ukraine. The thermal stability of the oil sludge organic part was studied. As a result of low-temperature pyrolysis of the organic (hydrocarbon) part of oil sludge, pyrolysis oil (pyrocondensate) was obtained. The fractional composition and properties of pyrolysis oil were studied. Pyrolysis oil was separated into gasoline fraction, diesel fraction, and the residue.

Reciprocal Solubility of Gasoline Fractions and Ethanol

Reciprocal solubility of gasoline and gasoline fractions in ethanol depending upon the aromatic hydrocarbon content in them has been investigated. Conditionally the ternary system “paraffin-naphthenic hydrocarbons–aromatic hydrocarbon–ethanol” demonstrates a bounded solubility with two pairs of the components. Ethanol solubility in hydrocarbons is only 1–3 %. The hydrocarbons solubility in ethanol depends upon water content in it and the temperature.

Behavior of Y Type Zeolite Catalyst under Aerosol Nanocatalysis Conditions

The study of Y-zeolite catalyst in aerosol nanocatalysis conditions with vibrating bed (AnCVB) was conducted. The method of conducting the experiment of catalytic cracking of vacuum gas oil was described. The influence of the controlling parameters of AnCVB technology (frequency of vibration and temperature) on the change in the composition and yield of cracking products was shown. The selectivity of cracking for the light products (gasoline and diesel) exceeds the industrial indicators by up to 22.3 %.
