Macroinitiators on the basis of new peroxide surface active monomers

The surface active properties of new peroxide maleic monomers were investigated. The regularities of their copolymerization with styrene were studied. Peroxide polymers containing ditertiary alkyl peroxide groups in side substituents of backbone as the prospective high-temperature free radical macroinitiators were synthesized.

Obtaining of Functional Surface Active Monomers Based on tert-Butylperoxy-6-hydroxyhexanoate

The interaction of -caprolactone with tert-butylhydroperoxide led to tert-butylperoxyhexanoate. Peroxymaleinate has been obtained by the reaction of tert-butylperoxyhexanoate with a maleic anhydride. Functional monomers have been synthesized by reactions of peroxymaleinate with propansultone and polyethylene glycol (PEG). The obtained compounds exhibit surface active properties, reducing a surface tension at the water-air interface.
