Plasticizing Additive to Road Bitumens Based on High-Sulfur Brown Coal

Using the oxidation desulfurization method, a plasticizing additive for road bitumen was obtained from high-sulfur brown coal. Taking into account the need to maximize the quantity of the plasticizing additive while maintaining quality, constant conditions of the oxidative desulfurization process were selected and the influence of the main variable technological factors on it was investigated. The sample of a plasticizing additive was obtained in near-optimal conditions of the lignite oxidation desulphurization process.

Sorption Properties of Brown Coal Processing Product

The paper is devoted to the study of the sorption properties of residual coal formed after hydrocavitation treatment of brown coal of the Olexandria deposit. The study aims to investigate the possibility of more efficient usage of brown coal processing products that have undergone cavitation treatment. Hydrocavitation of earthy brown coal provides complete and fast extraction of humus acids during extraction with the sodium hydroxide solution. At the same time, the residual coal is pulverized to the size of 10-20 µm.

Kinetic Regularities of High-Sulphuric Brown Coal Oxidative Desulphurization

The process of high-sulphuric brown coal oxidative desulphurization has been studied. The effect of grain size and oxidant linear rate on the process parameters has been determined. During the process the main part of pyritic sulphur is converted into hydrogen sulphide resulting in forming the gases with H2S high content which may be utilized or processed by the known methods
