Professor A.D. Motornyj (1891-1964)- one of the founders of the Ukrainian geodesic school
The article describes the life, organizational, scientific and pedagogic activities of significant Ukrainian survey scientist. Professor A.D. Mothornyy was one of founders of Ukrainian (of Charkiv and Lviv) survey school, the first dean of Geodetic Faculty (1945–1950) and sixth head of the Department of Geodesy at the Polytechnics of Lviv (1945–1964)
