Ukrainian Sign Language

In the scientific paper a number of important scientific and applied tasks related to the development of mathematical methods and the formation of a complex of applied information technologies of modeling, processing and translation of the Ukrainian sign language are solved. New methods of recognition and dactyl identification of the sign alphabet, methods of computer translation of the annotated Ukrainian sign language are analyzed and proposed.

The use of machine translation on the basis of rules for the Ukrainian Sign Language is considered. The basic principles of transformation from Ukrainian Sign Language into Ukrainian Spoken Language are described. The rules for translating into Ukrainian Spoken Language including grammatical features of Ukrainian Sign and Spoken Languages are selected.

Entity-relationship model of concepts for building a translation system of the Ukrainian Sign Language is developed. Adequacy of the entity-relationship model of parallel sentences "Ukrainian Spoken Language - Ukrainian Sign Language" is investigated.

The modern computer translation systems of sign languages in the world are investigated. Вasic translation methods that can be used for translate  Ukrainian Sign Language are considered. The rules for machine translation of Ukrainian Sign Language based on its syntax investigation are constructed.
