Objective. The study is aimed at providing a comprehensive justification of the role of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) as a key tool for the digital transformation of modern agriculture and the practical implementation of precision farming principles. The work considers the transition from traditional uniform farm management to spatially differentiated digital technologies that enhance the efficiency of land and material resource use.

Integration of Remote Sensing and GIS for Precision Agriculture: A Case Study

Purpose. The study aims to substantiate the effectiveness of integrating Earth remote sensing (ERS) and geographic information systems (GIS) for implementing the principles of precision agriculture. The main objective is to analyze the potential of multispectral satellite data for assessing the spatial heterogeneity of agroecosystems, identifying vegetation stress conditions, and supporting decision-making in agricultural production management.

Geoinformation modelling for the siting of industrial solar power plants considering landslide processes in mountainous areas

The article presents an integrated approach to assessing the suitability of territories for the placement of industrial solar power plants (SPPs) in mountainous conditions, taking into account the spread of landslide processes, which are a key natural constraint for infrastructure development in the Carpathian region. The object of the study is the Kosiv district of the Ivano-Frankivsk region, an area characterised by complex geological structure, increased susceptibility to landslides, and growing investment interest in alternative energy projects.

An approach for the vector format maps creation is presented. The relevant graphics primitives scaling-and-positioning algorithms were developed along with the functional requirements forming. The algorithms that digitize raster maps into the vector ones are described as well. The entire architecture of module for the creation of the vector format maps, intended to the specialized geographic information system is designed.
