GENERALIZED RISK ASSESSMENT PROCEDURE FOR SOFTWARE TESTING OF LEGALLY REGULATED MEASURING INSTRUMENTS

The legal metrology covers measuring instruments (MI), the measurement results of which are used in calculations for consumed energy resources, in the fields of information protection, security, environmental protection, etc. Most modern MIs use microcontrollers or are controlled by computers. The software (SW) of such MIs provides an opportunity not only to automate the processes of measurement and calculation of results but also to ensure long-term storage and data transfer. The manufacturer is responsible for investigating and assessing all possible risks related to the MI SW.

METHODOLOGY FOR ASSESSING THE LIFE CYCLE PROCESSES OF SCAFFOLDS

Due to the increase in diseases in the musculoskeletal system, regenerative medicine is now developing various bone substitutes. Not all scaffolds, due to their shortcomings, are applied for every application. Patients should be provided with basic product information and other warnings about health risks or measures to be taken. From the establishment of the purpose of the biomaterial to apply, several stages of the life cycle can pass. To ensure the biocompatibility of medical devices, there is a legislative framework and standards.

ENVIRONMENTAL RISK ASSESSMENT OF EXPLOSIVE RESIDUES TOXICOLOGICAL IMPACT ON HUMANS ON THE FORMER COMBAT AREA

This article evaluates the impact of explosives residues left after the explosion of low-detonation munitions on the health of population (children and adults) living on the former battlefield. To determine the toxicological impact of explosives on humans, we used data from artillery shelling near the village of Stepanivka, Donetsk region, during the fighting in 2014. By the number of craters formed on the battlefield and their size, the calibre of the shells and, accordingly, the mass of the explosives were determined.

Comprehensive approach to training specialists in the area of engineering education

The article outlines advantages of applying a comprehensive approach to training specialists in the area of engineering education. Modern approaches to project management in production are analyzed, using the known experience of the European countries and the world. The basic tools of project management that are applied at all stages of implementation of engineering projects are described.

Adaptation of iucn classification schemes for environmental safety passports of species

This study aimed to improve the ways of risk assessment for environmental safety. The implementation of “Environmental safety passports of species” is of practical importance for effective risk assessment of individual species impact to the environment, humans and other living organisms. The classification schemes of International Union for Conservation of Nature for evaluating habitats, threats & stresses, use and trade, livelihoods of species were analyzed and adapted to the requirements of environmental safety.
