Synthesis and solubility of 1-[2-methyl-1-(4-methylphenyl)-5-phenyl-1h-pyrrol-3-yl]ethanol in organic solvents

The temperature dependence of the solubility of 1-[2-methyl-1-(4-methylphenyl)-5-phenyl-1H-pyrrol-3-yl]ethanone in methyl acetate, ethyl acetate, acetonitrile, propan-1-ol and propan-2-ol has been investigated. The enthalpy and entropy of dissolution were calculated. The thermodynamic parameters of the melting process and the melting point were determined based on the results of differential thermal analysis. The enthalpy and entropy of melting were recalculated to 298.15 K.
