Аргументовано, що напівпрезидентська система державного правління не є уніфікованою, а натомість позиціонується різноманітною і гетерогенною структурою міжінституційних відносин. На цій підставі виокремлено інституційно-процесуальні фактори типологізації напівпрезиденталізму, які здебільшого обертаються довкола проблематики формування та відповідальності урядів, а також можливості розпуску легіслатур.
