An attempt is made to investigate the process of international court proceedings, the
subject of which is the trust relationship complicated by a foreign element, followed by an
application for recognition and enforcement of the judgment in another EU Member State or
EFTA. In As a result of this study, the regulation of trust in European law is considered in
three aspects: the issue of international jurisdiction in trust cases and the recognition and
enforcement of foreign court decisions in trust cases (based on the principles laid down by the
Brussels (1968) and Lugano Conventions (1988) their further evolution within the framework
of the EU)) as well as the conflict of trust rules (Hague Trustee Convention of 1985).
