Instructions to authors

Scientific articles written in Ukrainian or English that have not been previously published or submitted for publication in other journals (including electronic ones) and present original, unpublished theoretical or experimental research materials are accepted for publication.

Manuscripts should be submitted to the editorial board of the journal in electronic format or sent via e-mail to: jictee@lpnu.ua

Articles submitted to the journal must be prepared according to the template available on the journal's official website. Manuscripts should be submitted to the Editorial Board of the journal  "Information and Communication Technologies, Electronic Engineering" in electronic format. They must be at least eight A4 pages in length.

Articles should be prepared using Microsoft Word (file name: paper.doc) with the following formatting requirements: Font – Times New Roman Cyr, size – 11 pt, line spacing – 1.1. Formatting details:

Paper size: A4 (210 x 297 mm);

  • Margins: left – 20 mm, right – 15 mm, top – 25 mm, bottom – 25 mm;
  • Page numbers: top-right corner, 10 mm from the page edge;

Main text: Times New Roman font, size 11 pt, first line indent – 1 cm, justified alignment.

The Editorial Board kindly requests authors to use the article template when preparing their manuscripts. It is critical to carefully format the list of references in Harvard style, including the DOI (Digital Object Identifier) for each source.

 

For articles written in English, the following formatting guidelines must be followed:

  • Article title (in English): Times New Roman, 14 pt, bold, all capital letters, center-aligned, spacing after – 14 pt;
  • Author's and co-authors’ initials and surnames (in English): Times New Roman, 10 pt, bold, center-aligned, spacing after – 7 pt;
  • Name and address of the institution where the author works (in English): Times New Roman, 10 pt, italic, center-aligned; spacing after the last listed institution (for co-authors) – 14 pt;
  • Corresponding author’s initials and surname, e-mail address (in English): center-aligned, spacing after – 14 pt;
  • Manuscript submission date in the format “day month year” (e.g., 12 April 2021), Times New Roman, 10 pt, italic, center-aligned, spacing after – 14 pt;
  • Abstract (in English): no more than 150 words, left indent – 15 mm, right indent – 10 mm, center-aligned, spacing after – 14 pt;
  • Keywords (in English, no more than 6 words, in bold): left indent – 20 mm, Times New Roman, 10 pt, italic, left-aligned;
  • UDC code (no more than 6 values): left indent – 20 mm, Times New Roman, 10 pt, left-aligned;

Subheadings in the article: Times New Roman, 11 pt, lowercase, bold, left-aligned.

Illustrations: Placed across the page width as appropriate. Captions – Times New Roman, 9.5 pt, italic, center-aligned. All images and graphs should be inserted as separate objects and sized to fit the page layout. Figures must be captioned and numbered (if more than one), with the caption centered below the image (format: Fig. number). Black-and-white images – Grayscale; color images – CMYK Color. Figures should be grouped. The quality and proper formatting of illustrations are the responsibility of the authors.

Tables should be inserted as separate objects in MS Word format. Main text size – 10 pt, title – 11 pt. Table titles are center-aligned, bold and straight; table numbers (if more than one) are right-aligned in italic.

Formulas must be created using Equation Editor, centered in the text and numbered in parentheses on the right margin. Font specifications:

  • Normal – 11 pt
  • Large subscript – 9 pt
  • Small subscript – 7 pt
  • Large symbol – 18 pt
  • Small symbol – 11 pt

Long equations should be split into multiple lines.

References: Times New Roman, 11 pt, italic. Must follow the Harvard referencing style. Each reference should be numbered and begin on a new line. A DOI must be included for each source.

After the references used in the article, information in Ukrainian must be provided in the following format:

  • Article title (in Ukrainian): Times New Roman, 14 pt, bold, all capital letters, center-aligned, spacing after – 14 pt;
  • Authors' and co-authors’ initials and surnames (in Ukrainian): Times New Roman, 10 pt, bold, center-aligned, spacing after – 7 pt;
  • Name and address of the institution where the author works (in Ukrainian): Times New Roman, 10 pt, italic, center-aligned; spacing after the last listed institution (for co-authors) – 14 pt;
  • Abstract (in Ukrainian): no more than 150 words, left indent – 15 mm, right indent – 10 mm, center-aligned, spacing after – 14 pt;

  • Abstract (in Ukrainian): no more than 150 words, left indent – 15 mm, right indent – 10 mm, center-aligned, spacing after – 14 pt;
  • Keywords (in Ukrainian, no more than 6 words, in bold): left indent – 20 mm, Times New Roman, 10 pt, italic, left-aligned;
  • UDC code (no more than 6 values): left indent – 20 mm, Times New Roman, 10 pt, left-aligned;

  • Large symbol – 18 pt
  • Small symbol – 11 pt

Lengthy expressions and equations should be broken into multiple lines.

References: Times New Roman, 11 pt, italic. Must follow the Harvard referencing style. Each source must be numbered and start on a new line. A DOI (Digital Object Identifier) must be provided for each source.

For successful publication, the structure of the article should include the following sections:

  1. Problem Statement (Introduction)
  2. Analysis of Recent Research and Publications
  3. Formulation of the Article’s Objective
  4. Presentation of the Main Material
  5. Conclusions
  6. List of References

All articles undergo a double open peer-review process by two reviewers. Based on the reviewers’ evaluations, the Editorial Board makes a decision regarding the article’s eligibility and timeline for publication.

The final formatting of the article according to the journal's requirements is done by the Executive Secretary of the Editorial Board. The formatted article is then sent to the author for approval and published on the journal's official website.
