General Process for Selecting Program Chairs

Steering Committee Oversight: A steering or organizing committee, comprising representatives from the participating institutions, typically oversees the selection process.

Nomination and Evaluation: Potential candidates are nominated based on their academic contributions, leadership experience, and involvement in relevant research areas. The committee evaluates nominees considering factors such as:

Academic Credentials: A strong publication record in fields pertinent to the conference.

Leadership Experience: Prior roles in organizing conferences, workshops, or editorial boards.

Institutional Representation: Ensuring diversity and representation from the various collaborating institutions.

Geographical and Gender Diversity: Promoting inclusivity by considering candidates from different regions and backgrounds.

Final Selection: After thorough deliberation, the committee selects one or more individuals to serve as Program Chairs, ensuring alignment with the conference's goals and values.

Program Committee Formation: Selecting qualified members to form the Program Committee, ensuring a balance of expertise and diversity.

Review Process Management: Overseeing the submission review process, assigning papers to reviewers, and ensuring timely and fair evaluations.

Program Scheduling: Organizing accepted papers into coherent sessions and scheduling them appropriately.

Keynote Speaker Coordination: Identifying and inviting prominent figures in the field to deliver keynote addresses.

Communication: Serving as the primary liaison between authors, reviewers, and the organizing committee, addressing queries and facilitating smooth communication.
