ANALYSIS OF ARCHITECTURAL AND PLANNING STRUCTURE AND FORTIFICATION FACILITIES OF THE CITY OF LVIV ACCORDING TO THE MAP OF JEAN DOETSCH 1770 (1750)

The article analyzes the plan of the city of Lviv by Jean Doetsch from 1770 - one of the first cartographic sources to the history of the city. The significance of the plan for the scientific reconstruction of the state of the architectural and town-planning structures of the city for the second half of the 18th century is revealed. The hypothesis that the map was made for educational and military purposes is substantiated.

CONCEPT OF REVITALIZATION OF THE FORMER BARRACKS COMPLEX IN KAMIANETS-PODILSKYI

The study presents a historical and architectural analysis of the former 18th
century barracks complex in Kamianets-Podilskyi (pol. Kamieniec-Podolski), Ukraine.
Reconstruction of the phases of its development, evaluation and valorization of its facilities was
carried out, and a concept for the rehabilitation, conservation and revitalization of the complex
was developed. The building of the barracks is a unique object due to its construction and
foundation in a steep terrain.

The article examines the urban features of the late 18th century, contained on
the map of R. D'Otto since 1772: «Lemberg. General Carta von dem Marche der bey
Hommona in Hungarn gestandenen K.K.Trouppen, bis zur Hauptstadt Lemberg in Pollen;

NETWORK OF THE OTTOMAN FORTIFIED SETTLENTS ON THE NORTHWEST BLACK SEA COAST IN THE XVIIth AND XVIIIth CENTURY

The article is aimed at covering the issue of the historical organization of the network of fortresses of the northwest coast of the Black Sea and the Danube-Dnepr intermarriage during the 17th and 18th centuries, the times of subordination of this territory to the Ottoman Empire and vassal states. The study covered 11 cities that had fortification systems. Historiographical and descriptive documents on fortifications were systematized, search for common features and algorithms for the formation of a fortified area was compared with other known Ottoman cities of the same period.
