THE EVOLUTION OF APPROACHES TO THE PRESERVATION OF ARCHAEOLOGICAL RELICS OF ARCHITECTE: A REVIEW OF INTERNATIONAL DOCUMENTS

Archaeological sites are non-renewable resources of global significance, containing material evidence of the past. International documents and charters have played a crucial role in shaping the principles of archaeological heritage preservation. This study examines the theoretical foundations of archaeological site conservation as outlined in international documents and charters from the 20th and 21st centuries, which contribute to the evolving ethics of interventions in archaeological sites.

TO THE PROBLEM OF ARCHAEOLOGICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL RESEARCH OF FORTIFICATIONS IN THE AREA OF ADAM MITSKEVYCH SQUARE IN LVIV

The new hotel building appeared at 9 Mickiewicz Square in Lviv during 2022-2023. It was built on the site of an architectural monument from 1839 – the Hudets house. The author of the Hudetz house project was the Viennese architect Wilhelm Schmidt. The monument was dismantled despite the protests of the Lviv publicity and despite the decision of the Scientific and Methodological Council of the Ministry of Civil Engineering of Ukraine on the expediency for its restoration.
