INTERDISCIPLINARY APPROACH IN DEVELOPING ARCHITECTURAL THINKING: EXPERIENCE OF IMPLEMENTING FILM ANALISIS

This article examines the implementation of an interdisciplinary course, "Architecture and Design in Cinema," within architectural education. The study provides a rationale for pedagogical methodologies that incorporate cinematography as a means to foster creative competencies among architecture students. Drawing on dissertation research concerning film clusters in urban structures, the course integrates cinema, scenography, and architecture.

In modern conditions, complex socio-political transformations, the reform of the higher education sector of Ukraine, the general rapid urban development, the active introduction of new building norms,technologies and materials, the extremely rapid exchange of professional information and experience experiments and testing of new ideas – in front of the National Union of Architects of Ukraine (NSAU) as a public professional creative association – new challenges arise.

Architectural education policy

The study focused on the relationship between political reality of the last decades and life of the domestic architectural school. The subject of  analysis is the methodological perspective of transformation of the architectural education in an active factor of positive changes in the life of the professional community and gaining by it a meaningful position in society.
