This article examines the implementation of an interdisciplinary course, "Architecture and Design in Cinema," within architectural education. The study provides a rationale for pedagogical methodologies that incorporate cinematography as a means to foster creative competencies among architecture students. Drawing on dissertation research concerning film clusters in urban structures, the course integrates cinema, scenography, and architecture.

Recent research indicates increasing international interest in interdisciplinary approaches to architectural education. Some scholars emphasize the effectiveness of film analysis in developing spatial awareness, whereas others underscore the influence of scenographic principles on architectural design.

The article details the methodological framework of the experimental course, which consists of three primary components. The first involves developing stylistic skills by analyzing composition, light, color, and decorative elements in cinema. The second focuses on enhancing visual literacy and critical analysis through contextual interpretation. The third emphasizes narrative thinking by examining sequential spatial events and movement dynamics. The course includes lectures, practical sessions, and seminars that engage students in the analysis of significant cinematographic works and collaborative creative projects. Students are required to complete both individual research assignments and group projects.

Course observations indicate potential for enhancing students' communication skills, critical thinking abilities, and comprehension of architectural space.
