An Oligomer with Terminal Unsaturated Double Bonds Based on Epidian 5 and Ethylacrylic Acid

An oligomer with terminal unsaturated double bonds (unsaturated oligomer, UO) has been synthesized from epoxy resin Epidian 5 and ethylacrylic acid. The impact of the catalyst nature, temperature, and reaction duration on the progress of the reaction between the resin and the acid has been studied. A synthetic technique is proposed for producing the UO. The UO has been characterized by chemical and FTIR-spectroscopic analyses. The UO has been examined in the cross-linking processes with oligoesteracrylates TGM 3 and MGP 9 as well as unsaturated polyester PE 246.

Thermooxidative Regeneration of Used Mineral Motor Oils

The physico-chemical properties and group composition of the used mineral motor oils M-10DM and NORMAL 15W40, as well as the fractions obtained as a result of their thermooxidative regeneration have been studied. The results of IR-spectroscopic and X-ray fluorescence analysis of used oils and fractions obtained during thermooxidative regeneration are presented. The changes in the composition and properties of regenerated oils are described.

Obtaining of Coumarone-Indene Resins Based on Light Fraction of Coal Tar. 3. Coumarone-Indene Resins with Methacrylic Fragments

The method for obtaining coumarone-indene resins with methacrylic fragments (CIRM) was developed with the addition of methyl methacrylate, using a light fraction of coal tar and its fraction boiling within 423–463 К. CIRM was obtained via radical cooligomerization using 2,2'-azobis (2-methyl-propionitrile) as the initiator. The effect of the initiator amount, temperature and reaction time on the yield, softening temperature and molecular weight of CIRM has been established. The structure of the synthesized CIRM has been confirmed by IR and NMR spectroscopy.
