The Inflation Targeting Regime in Ukraine and Czech Republic: a Comparative Analysis

The main purpose of this article is to determine the impact of the inflation targeting regime on the inflation rates in Ukraine and the Czech Republic, to identify the advantages and disadvantages of its use, to study the evolution and dynamics of inflationary processes in Ukraine and the Czech Republic, as well as the nature and causes of inflation in Ukraine and the Czech Republic.

Gross Domestic Product of Ukraine in the Context of Global Challenges

The article analyses the dynamics of Ukraine's GDP in the light of social and political challenges of recent years. Ukraine's GDP dynamics were negatively affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing full-scale russian invasion. The factors that caused a slowdown in economic growth in most regions of the world are also outlined: large-scale quarantine measures, supply chain disruptions, the abolition of fiscal stimulus for economic development, and tight monetary policies of central banks in developed countries.

Exchange Rate of Ukrainian Currency – Trends and Potential Changes

The article is devoted to topical issues of increasing hryvnia exchange rate potential. There is presented a description of the main factors causing decrease of the exchange rate, namely: the negative balance of payments, galloping inflation, situational decline in demand for Ukrainian exports and large amounts of currency outflow due to shadow economy agents. Ways of reducing the shadow economy in Ukraine are proposed.
