Evolution of the Boryslav-Pokuttya and Sambir nappes and tectonic setting miocene molasse basins (Ukrainian Pre-Carpathians)
The model of tectono-sedimentary evolution of the Pre-Carpathians Miocene molasse basins and forming Boryslav-Pokuttya and Sambir frontal nappes of the Carpathian orogen are represented. Boryslav-Pokuttya piggy-back molasse basin developed on top of deeper lying thrust sheet (on meganappe of the flysch) and correspond to co-caled “satellite foreland basins’. Sambir Miocene basin comprises the inner part of the just foreland basins - the Pre-Carpasians Neogene foredeep at the Carpathian front.
