Сomposition and properties of oil sludge formed during oil production

 The paper describes the results of studying the composition and properties of four samples of  oil sludge obtained during oil production in the oil field. The process of separating the hydrocarbon (organic) part of oil sludge into separate fractions was carried out, and their properties and group hydrocarbon composition were studied. The content of metals in oil sludge was studied. The composition and properties of mechanical impurities found in oil sludge were studied. 

Processing of Oily Waste. 1. Low-Temperature Pyrolysis of the Organic Part of Oil Sludge

The article presents the results of studies on the composition and properties of the organic part of oil sludge formed during oil production in the fields of western Ukraine. The thermal stability of the oil sludge organic part was studied. As a result of low-temperature pyrolysis of the organic (hydrocarbon) part of oil sludge, pyrolysis oil (pyrocondensate) was obtained. The fractional composition and properties of pyrolysis oil were studied. Pyrolysis oil was separated into gasoline fraction, diesel fraction, and the residue.

Study of the composition and properties of oil sludges formed as a result of oil processing

The paper describes the results of studying the composition and properties of oil sludge obtained during oil processing at an oil refinery. Samples of fresh oil sludge and oil sludge of long-term storage, taken at different depths of the storage pond, were studied. The main properties and group hydrocarbon composition of the organic part of oil sludges were studied.
